Waterproof Flooring Options

When it comes to flooring it’s imperative to choose the right product dependent on what room in the house you are renovating. Think foot traffic, think wet or dry, think comfort and luxury, think style or practicality. All these factors need to be considered when you are choosing your flooring especially if it’s an area that may get wet.

WATERPROOF FLOORING

There are lots of types of flooring that you can consider dependent on how ‘wet’ the area is.

CERAMIN: Ceramin is a new type of ceramic based flooring that is designed and manufactured in Germany. It’s much lighter than ceramic and it is easy to fix over existing material. It’s durable, hard wearing but most important it’s 100% waterproof. The range comes in 3 types of product suitable for all living areas:

Neo 2.0 – by Classen is the floor covering for ALL living areas: highly resilient and durable in hallways and kitchens, warm underfoot, hygienic and ecological for children‘s rooms and bedrooms, elegant and classy in representative rooms.

Sono – a wide range of authentic and large format wood decors for all living areas.

Vario – A real alternative to natural stone and tiles, giving you all the advantages of a ceramic tiles but more lightweight and very easy to install and in multiple colours. They do not have any harmful plastics, phthalates, heavy metals, soluble or volatile harmful substances in it making it one of the most environmentally friendly products available for flooring and walls.

LAMINATE: The quality of laminates over the years has improved drastically and laminate flooring is often the first choice for many home owners these days. The wear-resistant nature and tough melamine surface can certainly withstand the toughest of treatment. Most products now claim to be water resistant and some waterproof. At Creative Flooring we provide two choices from Germany giving you a better product for a better price:

Wiparquet Collection – Extreme durability, warm to the touch and more quiet than other laminates.

Extravagant Collection – This range shapes the special character of this laminate flooring collection with beautiful patterns and surfaces.

CORK: Cork floor tiles are a natural product that provide warmth, comfort, durability and softness under foot. Cork tiles can be used in all areas of the home including bathrooms and kitchens. The tiles comes with a waterbased urethane top coat that makes it ideal for wet areas and it’s easy to clean! It’s a great insulator keeping your house warm in winter and cool in summer.

TILES: Another choice for wet areas are tiles. These are perfect for shower and bathrooms and are used on a regular basis. They can be cold in the winter and unforgiving if something is dropped on them but they are durable and practical. Until now there has not really been much of an alternative to tiles but as technology develops so do the options and this is where the Ceramin product is definitely worth looking at.
